Why now?  Becoming friends with your new neighbor is a diversity…   Family gathering of 4 generations is a diversity…   Two humans, raised in a different environment, building a family together, is a diversity…   Why are we talking about it? This is how I see the future of Crimea… 1. It should become an independent republic under the Ukrainian flag. Remaining under Russia is a financial, economic  and political suicide. Russia is going to suffer the consequences of the Ukrainian invasion for years to come.  2. I see a democratic parliament where EVERY NATIONALITY of Crimea is represented. Inclusivity can’t be underestimated! Over the last eight years the Russian population was artificially inflated in Crimea.  3. Crimea, including Sevastopol, should become a MILITARY FREE zone. It will bring peace to the whole Black Sea region. Its military defense should be supported by the Ukrainian military located on the mainland, using the newest technologies.  4. Crimea is a gorgeous peninsula that has been mistreated for hundreds of years. Its beauty - is a natural resource that must be finally introduced to the world! The main focus should be on agriculture  and INTERNATIONAL TOURISM. I see a great potential for Crimean prosperity

Congratulations!  You are building the globe  of Russia!  What are you going to do with it?  You can call it RF, CIS or USSR…) Enjoy it! Or,  You can kick the ball of your jealousy of Ukraine right through the world’s gate… and maybe… just maybe… find your way to the freedom… this time…  VGM

There are no relationships that don’t need work.... Even most perfect ones need work... In the 70s and 80s the language in the little towns of central Crimea was… I would call it Ukrussian with a hint of the Tatar’s language blended in… My grandma educated me on the household differences…  There were homes with lots of half-naked kids running around and playing in the dirt, where the oldest kids were taking care of the youngest. The back yards had nothing, but weeds.  Some of the households kept a cow. Those were migrants from Russia, attracted by the warm climate and promise of a house… Ukrainian migrant’s yards were green with happy crops. Kids had daily chores of taking care of the house, livestock, garden, etc. The kids usually played outside in the afternoon once their chores were done. I remember helping my friend with her chores so we could play sooner… Tatars… My grandma had no faith in them. She used to teach me: "Never buy their farm produce when you grow up, because they fertilize crops with human urine"…  I believe the difference between Christian an

I am a conservative democrat.  I believe in political balance in my country.  While I voted for Biden, I am very disappointed in the  procrastination of his administration to support Ukraine.  It puts us in line with other war criminals like Putin.  The political games of world leaders makes us responsible for thousands of Ukrainian lives…  VGM

Let’s deport Putin’s family and “friends” back to Russia.  Let them to enjoy the country they built; the “freedom” they created for the Russian people.  It is unfair to spend taxpayer money globally on investigating, prosecuting and sanctioning Putin’s Gang. Every summer in the 1970s and 1980s I took a bus trip to my grandma’s house located in the Belogorsk province of Crimea.  The little towns throughout the central Crimea looked almost identical; lined up duplexes with a piece of land attached to it where the family shared only one wall of the building and property line with another family of  migrants.  Many of those people spoke different languages.  These temporary accommodations were provided only to those who worked on collective farms.  The temporary houses became permanent homes for many of them…  Half of a building with two rooms, a small kitchen, covered porch and no bathroom or running water became a forever home, and still is, for thousands of Crimean’s.  My aunt was milking cows by hand all her life …  I will never forget the taste of the crust of the white bread carefully cut for me and a small glass jar of warm milk right from under the cow … Of course, I had to work for it a little…) by helping my aunt to feed the cows and
