A letter.

 I would like to address my people today. 

When I am saying, my people, I mean my Ukrainian and Russian friends and family.

My dear Russian friends and family!
I understand and respect your silence. My heart is breaking to see how lost we all are. How can I explain to my child that her DNA is based on hatred?... I can't imagine her Ukrainian and Russian chromosomes being in the state of war with each other...
Please, take care of one another! Please, be safe! I love you all with all my heart!

My dear Ukrainian friends and family!
I am so proud of your strength and courage! I understand and respect how much you love your country and your freedom! My heart is bleeding with you! I am praying every day for your safety! I love you more than you can ever imagine! You are my heroes!

I guess our nationality is solely our decision these days...  
I can be pronounced a nationalist by stating: 
"I am a Ukrainian" 
as much as
"I am a Russian"

I am not looking for understanding...
My self-conscience is reaching out to yours... because, at the end of the day, it's all we have to live with...

I am witty enough to be wild... strong enough to build the life I want... proud enough not to be arrogant... And yet, smart enough to understand the consequence of the above... VGM

    Да, это отвратительно когда один народ оказался в двух государствах и ещё более отвратительный, когда этот народ воюет друг против друга...

    Но, наверное, чтобы начать понимать почему так произошло, можно попробовать прочитать книгу Збигнева Бжезинского ""Большая шахматная доска"... Это не в коей мере не снимает ответственности за происходящее с нашего народа, но поможет понять: откуда ноги растут...

This is how I see the future of Crimea… 1. It should become an independent republic under the Ukrainian flag. Remaining under Russia is a financial, economic  and political suicide. Russia is going to suffer the consequences of the Ukrainian invasion for years to come.  2. I see a democratic parliament where EVERY NATIONALITY of Crimea is represented. Inclusivity can’t be underestimated! Over the last eight years the Russian population was artificially inflated in Crimea.  3. Crimea, including Sevastopol, should become a MILITARY FREE zone. It will bring peace to the whole Black Sea region. Its military defense should be supported by the Ukrainian military located on the mainland, using the newest technologies.  4. Crimea is a gorgeous peninsula that has been mistreated for hundreds of years. Its beauty - is a natural resource that must be finally introduced to the world! The main focus should be on agriculture  and INTERNATIONAL TOURISM. I see a great potential...

  What do you do when you feel sad? Sometimes I like to get under the blanket with cup of tea or coffee and think, think and think... or write, write and write... Drawing is great for my soul. I don’t have to be Picasso. I am better then him because I am me. And I need this. I need all these right at this moment to help me heal… Though, most of the time I know I have to stop thinking and just enjoy simple things like taking a long walk or a bike ride, or a drive... … Concentrate on what I see and not how I feel... —————————— The first 6 years of my life in US I spent in UT. Remodeling…

History never repeats itself…  or… does it? Now is the time when Russian last names will be changing from  Ivanov, Petrov, Sidorov…  to  Ivanoff, Petroff, Sidoroff…  It reminds me of Jews, Germans, Poles, Turks, Tatars and many other nationalities who were born and lived in the USSR. Many of those people changed their last names to sound Russian to save their lives in the 20th century…  History never repeats itself… or does it? …   VGM   PS: Every remodeling starts with demolition…
